Laurie and I had previously built in Canberra where we had designed an energy efficient brick and colourbond home. We had used the colourbond both internally and externally and were very happy with the final appearance, we loved the uniquely Australian corrugated iron look.

It was this look we wanted to replicate when we approached deWinter Award Winning Homes to design and construct our new home at Malua Bay. It was imperative that the home face the distant water views, taking in the foreground rural aspect and the north-eastern sun.

It was important to us that the building blend with the bush setting and local colours. At the builders suggestion the internal mini orb ceiling lining was a metallic silver colour picking up some of the spotted gum trees retained on site and beautifully contrasting with the spotted gum flooring used through out the living areas

We are very happy with the finished project, the workmanship and attention to detail is a credit to the deWinter Award Winning Homes company.We also appreciate how much effort and detail was in the process and not immediately evident to the casual observer.
